November 8, 2009 Rihanna to Appear on Grammy Special

Although she missed last year’s Grammy Awards due to her now infamous altercation with Chris Brown, Rihanna will be on hand to assist in celebrating the 2010 Grammy nominees.

Rap-Up.com has exclusively learned that the pop singer, who won the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Grammy in 2007 for “Umbrella,” will appear on “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night” to air December 2 at 8 p.m. on CBS. The live one-hour TV special will broadcast from Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Nominations in several categories will be announced for the 52nd annual show and there will also be performances by past Grammy winners and/or nominees.

The eligibility period for the 2010 Grammy awards was October 1, 2008, to August 31, 2009. This means Rihanna can’t be nominated with “Russian Roulette”. However, “Live Your Life” and “Run This Town” have big chances to be nominated!

Before her date with Grammy, Rihanna will perform at the American Music Awards on November 22, as Rap-Up.com was first to report. Her fourth album Rated R arrives a day later on November 23.

    @lilly…yeah i think too that she might perform on it and maybe present an award as well…
    …and hopefully get nominated and win an award…because i know that she probably would have won an award on this year’s Grammys if she had attended to it…

    She is likely to perform and present. I think she will win considering what happen last year, Grammy people are gonna chose rihanna no matter what they want her to win another grammy. remember the portrait last year that they did for rihanna will all of her favorite songs I hope they do it again this year with something different since she mist out on last years show. I hope she perform to at this years grammy’s that will be a good look for her.
