Bartu Erdem: “I’ve been a die-hard RiRi fan since day one but who would ever knew that I would meet her after 6 years! Before 2010 I had never tried to go to a concert of Rihanna because she never came close to Turkey but in June 2010 she finally came. She was coming from Athens therefore I even tried to buy a business class ticket from Athens to Istanbul on the day of her arrival! But obviously I couldn’t take the risk cause there were a couple of flights going on the same itinerary. So instead I waited in front of her hotel in the morning and when she arrived I saw her for the first time; I literally couldn’t move a muscle, I was paralyzed. She’s so charming, like when she walks through a place everybody stops and just watches her. I couldn’t actually meet her in front of the hotel because she directly went into the hotel. So I waited her to get out and followed her car to the venue.
When I arrived there I saw a 1km queue! Haha, that doesn’t happen in any other country. The concert was amazing! She was so intimate with the fans. I had like 2 meters between Rihanna and me and I believe that she waved at me once :D. Anyway after that concert I was so astounded that I decided go to another concert of hers and I chose LA because it was definitely gonna be a special one. The flights took like around 16 hours in total and the concert was right the other day. I had to rest up well to prepare for Robyn! Her show was developing as a mind-blowing one again but then Eminem came up and the crowd went crrraaazzzayyyyy. You just can’t describe it with words when it comes to Rihanna&Eminem. I think I was really the happiest boy on earth that night. My Rihanna-Adventures continued that November around the time when LOUD first came out. I went to Boston for a vacation that week and then I learned that Rihanna was in NY. What would you expect me to do? Of course I drove down to NYC to track her badass down! By the way I missed her Times Square performance with like 20 minutes, it succckked! Anyway that night I went to Da Silvano’s to see if she was there and I waited for like 3 hours but she never showed up. Then I went to her hotel and waited there for the rest of the night but I had no luck again, the other day I learned that she went to Da Silvano’s after I left there. It was tragicomic. Well that adventure wasn’t a successful one but I wasn’t gonna give up. In December I bought a Meet & Greet in Frankfurt, I was gonna meet her for sure this time! Later that year, in the summer of 2011 I went to LA again, this time I had front row tickets and I was closer to her I went there with my bff Tangie (@firexbomb) it was an amazing night. LOUD tour was even better than the Last Girl On Earth Tour. And I gotta say this: when you get closer to Rihanna she gets prettier, she’s supernatural! So… 3 months later… 26th of October 2011, the day had come. I flew to Frankfurt on the 25th and I literally couldn’t sleep that night. I was so excited! I went to the concert with Corrina, Jasmin and Sharon. It was effing impeccable again, when she gets on the stage she just slays. No one can even get closer to her live performance! During the concert I realized that I was doing the moves that she was gonna do :D! I’m just crazy for her; she’s basically my life. After the concert I was shaking! We lined up to meet her and she was meeting people in this room-like place covered with black curtains. I could hear the screams coming from the room haha! And then finally my turn came up. I went inside, she said hi! J and I was directly like “can I hug you now?!?!?!?!” haha I think she liked it, she was like “aww of course” and then I just squeezed her for a while. I gotta say her we found love hoodie is too soft:-D Then the cameraman took the picture, I kept repeating “I love you” and I think I finally forced her to say “I love you too” lmao. Even though the time in Meet&Greet was limited it was enough for me. I could go for a lifetime with the energy she gave me that night. I hope you read this Robyn! I love you!”
Steven Walker: “My name is Steven, I’m 17 and from Scotland, UK. I first went to the LOUD tour in October and it was so amazing, Rihanna brought the place down! A month later my mum surprised me and got me a meet and greet ticket for the LOUD tour in November, I was so excited I nearly dropped dead! It was my dream to meet her and I never ever thought it would happen to me but I was wrong. After the concert which was spectacular, the meet and greet ticket holders were ushered to a backstage area where we waited to get our photo with Rihanna. When Rihanna entered the room I got so nervous, and I was one of the last to meet her. I could feel my heart beating so fast in my chest and when the curtain was pulled back and Rihanna was standing there staring at me with those beautiful eyes, nothing else mattered…She smiled at me and pulled in towards her, I gave her a drawing I did for her with a message on the back hopefully she read, which she then said “Oh my god i love it! It’s so cute!” at which point she put her arms around me and gave me a hug, told me I was “So sweet” and a peck on the cheek, then the photo was taken and she said goodbye to me, I said “Thank you so much” and left. She is so warm and friendly and I will never forget that moment or Rihanna’s eyes. I can’t wait to go to Rihanna’s next tour and do it all over again!”
